apple ipod nano review.

on saturday, i went to pasadena apple store to see ipod nano which just came out. i really like the material ipod uses because it's smooth and very stylish. plus, i like the thin body with 4g storage and really quick access to photo gallary since ipod nano has no"hard drive". however, i thought the design needs to be more change. for examples, no need to put monitor horizontally and around scroll-wheel has big open space, designwise.

btw, "nano" means "it is" in japanese so that "ipod nano" means "it is ipod", which sounds funny to me.

I am not sure if this is right but I heard that to make photos appear faster the i-pod limits the maximum size. That would mean I couldn't put the originals of some of my photos on to take and edit on another computer as the i-pod would shrink my photo to a size I don't want it to be.

It will be great when flash hard drives with no moving parts get big and cheap. I won't worry so much about dropping my photo storage hard drive.

I also saw that the new i-pod is out and it shows video. http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/10/14/spark.podcast.reut/index.html

I had to cut it into pieces so it would be accepted in the post.

thank u for your comment, wayne. i saw the newer ipod with video. that's what i was expecting actually. i knew apple will end up with video. it is good for video people i think, but not for me. i am happy with my 3th ipod because just listening music and having 30G of storage is good enough for me.
